An Exceptional Opportunity to Shape the Future of UK Healthcare
Our client is a well-established and highly successful elderly nursing and residential care provider with a significant presence in the United States. Following years of sustained growth and success, they are making a major long-term investment into the UK healthcare market with ambitious plans to build one of the country's leading care groups through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
To support this exciting expansion, they are seeking an outstanding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in building the UK business from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial finance leader who wants to leave a lasting legacy within one of the UK's fastest-growing healthcare organisations.
The Role
As CFO, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and leading the entire UK finance function. Working closely with the executive board, you will develop the financial infrastructure required to support rapid growth while ensuring the highest standards of governance, compliance and financial control.
You will build and lead a high-performing finance team, establish robust financial processes and systems, and provide strategic insight to support significant investment and acquisition activity across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, lead and develop a best-in-class finance and accounting function.
* Design and implement the financial infrastructure, controls and reporting framework required to support a rapidly growing organisation.
* Take full accountability for all financial operations, including cash flow, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
* Establish strong financial governance, compliance and risk management procedures.
* Produce accurate and timely financial reporting for the Board and investors.
* Partner with the executive leadership team to shape the company's long-term growth strategy.
* Support mergers, acquisitions and post-acquisition integration as the organisation expands throughout the UK.
* Drive commercial performance through insightful financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with all UK financial, tax and regulatory requirements.
About You
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded finance leader who thrives in high-growth environments and has the experience to build finance functions from the ground up.
You will ideally possess:
* Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director or senior finance executive within the healthcare sector.
* Essential experience within elderly nursing, residential care, healthcare services or a closely related sector.
* A demonstrable track record of building and scaling finance teams and infrastructure.
* Strong experience establishing financial controls, systems and governance in growing organisations.
* Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions and business integration would be highly advantageous.
* Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to influence executive-level decisions.
* A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA or international equivalent).
* Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
What's on Offer
* An opportunity to join a financially strong international organisation at the start of its UK growth journey.
* The chance to build and shape the finance function from day one.
* Significant executive influence and board-level exposure.
* Long-term career progression within a business with ambitious expansion plans.
* A highly competitive remuneration package, negotiable based on experience, achievements and previous success.
If you are a strategic healthcare finance leader looking for an opportunity to build something exceptional and play a key role in creating one of the UK's leading care providers, we would be delighted to hear from you
