PJT Partners’ Strategic Advisory UK team in London seeks an associate with strong analytical and writing skills, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and can perform independently and within teams in a boutique investment advisory firm. The advisory group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions over the past twenty years.
It focuses on a diverse set of industries including technology, media & telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, oil & gas, industrials, healthcare, real estate, gaming & lodging.
Associates work directly with companies evaluating, structuring, and recommending financial and strategic alternatives. They typically work on a wide variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, asset sales, restructurings and divestitures. They are staffed directly on client teams and are expected to be involved in all aspects of a transaction, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and negotiating contracts and other agreements.
Responsibilities for this individual will include:
- Analyzing financial data and developments in financial markets important to the business of PJT Partners.
- Conducting research of targeted industries for investment purposes.
- Performing valuation analysis of prospective investment opportunities under consideration, including the assessment of financial risks.
- Comparing a company’s financial data with other companies of the same industry, size, and location to the forecast of industry trends.
- Designing and developing quantitative models to assess the economic performance of targeted companies.
- Preparing written analysis and evaluations of investment opportunities for use by PJT Partners management and review by clients.
- Participating in both internal and external client meetings, negotiating contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years of directly comparable (Investment Banking) experience with particular focus on M&A
