Job Description

Purpose of the role:
To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients, acting as the bridge between the bank’s offerings and client needs to ensure mutual benefit and long‑term success.

Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance.
  • Analyze data from investment portfolios and cash flow to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Research industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Design customized solutions that address specific client needs and objectives using the bank’s portfolio of products and services.
  • Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms beneficial to both client and bank.
  • Provide guidance to support clients’ financial decisions, offering expert investment, risk‑management, and wealth‑management advice.
  • Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
  • Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship‑management efforts.

  • Collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, delivering on work that impacts the whole business function.

  • Consult on complex issues and guide team members through structured assignments.
  • Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects, using cross‑functional methodologies to meet required outcomes.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures to support governance and control agendas.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Recognised financial planning qualification at RDR Level4 or above (essential).
  • Working knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulatory frameworks; ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools to support client conversations and build trust.
  • Careful approach to identifying and managing risk while maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Experience engaging with internal teams and external networks to welcome new clients and grow relationships.
  • Broad exposure to the financial services industry, especially retail regulated products and asset management.
  • Familiarity with pensions, investment advice, and UK taxation.
  • Experience managing risk within a client portfolio.
  • Adaptability and curiosity in a fast‑evolving environment.

This role is based in London.

Regulatory

This role is deemed a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority – Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the holder to maintain mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal benchmark qualifications.
