Senior Payments Analyst (Cross Border – London)
Corpay is currently hiring a Senior Payments Analyst to join its Cross Border Payment and Treasury Operations team in London (Paddington), UK. The role is integral to the team from day one, overseeing payment processing, investigation management, and driving improvements across the Settlements function.
Role Responsibilities- Support the accurate and timely processing of all payment instructions, ensuring full adherence to client expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external counter parties, proactively managing queries and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Develop expertise across a wide range of payment workflows, ensuring robust understanding and ownership of end-to-end processes within the team.
- Manage the execution of incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring reconciliation, controls, and approval processes are followed consistently.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and the Payments Team Lead to resolve complex queries, drive operational alignment, and support seamless client transaction execution.
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and controls, raising recommendations and contributing to solution design.
- Support and drive initiatives focused on efficiency, automation, risk reduction, and service enhancement across the Settlements function.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that advance broader business objectives and improve the client experience in relation to payment processing.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to junior analysts, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous development within the team.
- Proven experience in financial services with a Payments background (2‑3 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of payment rails, including SEPA, SWIFT, CHAPS, and FPS.
- Methodical and numerate, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to both support and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude.
- Demonstrates initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Demonstrates flexibility and resilience, with the ability to embrace new challenges and perform effectively outside of familiar territory.
