Overview

A global investment firm based in the west end of London seeks an experienced Trade and Treasury Operations Specialist at a Senior Associate or Principal level with a proven background in non‑market trading and treasury operations.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must have completed the IMC or IOC, with the first exam preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure client investments and treasury needs are implemented in a timely and accurate manner across relevant asset classes.
  • Review and send execution instructions for private placement and hedge funds, paying specific attention to terms such as fee classes, minimums, notice periods, gates, and lock‑up periods, as well as UCITS and mutual funds.
  • Process cash payments for clients and capital call payments for private placement funds.
  • Execute day‑to‑day trades for ETF funds and equity, accounting for specific tax and regional restrictions and resolving settlement issues; execute foreign exchange spot and forwards for portfolio hedging; manage futures and direct fixed‑income trades.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external third‑party custodians and brokers, ensuring best execution, and monitor and assess service levels to guarantee accurate and timely settlement.
Key Qualifications
  • Previous experience in trade and treasury operations within financial services, such as a private bank, middle office, or settlement agency.
  • Proficiency in product types across major investment asset classes (non‑market assets and treasury). Familiarity with market regulations and reporting requirements such as MiFID II and EMIR.
  • Excellent judgment and analytical skills, able to evaluate and interpret complex trade execution data quickly and independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to spot potential errors in numerical data related to trade execution.
