A highly regarded, globally established hedge fund is seeking a senior fundraising professional to lead capital raising efforts across North America. This is a key hire for the firm, focused on developing and deepening relationships with institutional and high-quality allocators across the US. The role will be based in London but requires extensive connectivity and travel into the North American investor base.
Key Responsibilities- Lead capital raising initiatives across the US and broader North American market
- Develop and execute a targeted fundraising strategy across institutional investors (pensions, endowments, foundations) and select sophisticated wealth channels
- Leverage an existing network of investor relationships to generate immediate pipeline and fundraising traction
- Partner closely with senior leadership, portfolio managers, and investor relations to articulate the firm's strategy and performance
- Manage the full fundraising lifecycle, from initial engagement through to allocation and ongoing relationship management
- Represent the firm externally at investor meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to internal stakeholders to inform product positioning and strategic growth plans
- Extensive experience in hedge fund capital raising, with a demonstrable track record of raising institutional assets from North America
- Deep, established network across US allocators (institutional and/or top-tier wealth platforms)
- Strong technical understanding of hedge fund strategies and the ability to communicate complex investment concepts effectively
- Experience operating in a senior, client-facing capacity within a hedge fund or alternative asset manager
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously while integrating into a broader global team
- Willingness to travel frequently to the US
- Mandatory: NFA Series 3 / FINRA Series 3 license
- Significant tenure in a relevant capital raising / distribution role within alternatives
