Capital Actuary​/Manager - General Insurance

Overview

MERJE are working with a General Insurance client in the search for a Capital Actuary / Capital Manager. We''re looking for candidates to come in and hit the ground running in shaping the Capital Management framework and taking that information to formulate the Capital Strategy along with Investment decisions. You will use the understanding of Capital Models, parameterisation and validation - but then be tasked with producing the outcomes to what the models provide.

A genuinely strong remit that can really fast track your development and engagement with senior work.

Responsibilities include shaping the Capital Management framework, translating model outputs into actionable Capital Strategy and investment decisions, and delivering tangible outcomes from capital models.

• Nearly, newly or experienced General Insurance Actuaries.
• A good foundation in Capital Modelling and/or Capital Management - the more experience the better. (also suitable for those who took longer to get through exams).
• A wider understanding of Risk frameworks could be beneficial.
• Ability to be self-sufficient when it comes to Capital related projects.
