Finance Systems Director

A global technology‑led organisation is looking for a Head of Finance Systems to lead the next stage of its finance systems and data transformation.

This is a senior role sitting at the intersection of finance, technology, data and business change. You’ll own the finance systems landscape, lead improvements across reporting and data quality, and work closely with Finance, IT and senior business stakeholders to make sure the organisation has the systems, insight and controls needed to support continued growth.

The business is decentralised, international and commercially focused, so this role needs someone who can bring structure, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change across multiple business units without relying on a heavy centralised mandate.

• Leading the finance systems and data strategy across the group
• Owning and improving key finance platforms, including consolidation, reporting and planning tools
• Driving better data quality, governance, reporting and finance process efficiency
• Working closely with senior Finance, Technology and business stakeholders across multiple operating companies
• Supporting finance transformation activity across systems, processes, controls and reporting
• Leading the relationship between Finance and IT to ensure systems are fit for purpose and aligned to business needs
• Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve the finance systems landscape
• Managing and developing a small team across finance systems, data and reporting

• Strong experience leading finance systems, finance transformation or financial data programmes
• Good understanding of group finance, consolidation, reporting, planning or FP&A processes
• Experience with finance systems such as Tagetik, One Stream, Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP BPC, Oracle EPM, Workday Adaptive Planning or similar
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, IT and senior leadership
• Ability to drive change across a complex, decentralised or multi‑business environment
• A practical, commercially minded approach — able to improve systems and processes without over complicating delivery
• Previous experience managing people, suppliers or cross‑functional delivery teams

• Experience in a listed, international or acquisitive organisation
• Exposure to finance data governance, master data, reporting architecture or BI tools
• Experience working across multiple business units, divisions or operating companies
• A finance qualification or strong finance process background would be beneficial, but is not essential
