VisionFR is delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Operations AR Assistant on behalf of a successful and growing creative business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team during an exciting period of growth.

The Role

As Finance Operations AR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring the smooth running of accounts receivable activities while also assisting with wider finance operations.

Key responsibilities include of the Finance Operations AR Assistant:
  • Managing the Accounts Receivable inbox on a daily basis.
  • Preparing and issuing monthly customer statements.
  • Processing customer billing, ensuring internal approvals are obtained and invoices are issued within agreed deadlines.
  • Proactively managing credit control to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Allocating customer receipts accurately on a daily basis.
  • Resolving customer billing queries promptly and professionally.
  • Monitoring unbilled revenue throughout the month, ensuring billing deadlines are met.
  • Providing support to finance and operational teams with financial queries, systems and workflow processes.
The successful Finance Operations AR Assistant will have:
  • At least one year's experience in an Accounts Receivable or finance assistant role.
  • A good understanding of core accounting principles.
  • A degree or other relevant higher education qualification (desirable).
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An interest in improving processes and embracing new technology.
  • A reliable, self-motivated and flexible approach to work.
