Position: Financial Controller (6 month FTC)
Are you a qualified finance professional with a passion for governance, reporting, and driving financial excellence? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading NFP organisation for a Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in maintaining strong financial governance and supporting impactful initiatives. As the Financial Controller, you'll ensure robust financial reporting, compliance, and control across all external and internal financial information.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting:
Manage relationships with external auditors, oversee annual report preparation, and implement changes required by new charities SORP. Taxation:
Act as the subject matter expert on tax compliance, develop tax strategies to minimise costs, and support teams on taxation changes. Cashflow Management:
Oversee banking relationships, manage cashflow and liquidity planning, and ensure effective transaction processing. Governance & Controls:
Maintain up-to-date finance policies, supervise risk and assurance processes, and ensure compliance with legislation alongside legal counsel. Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the financial control team while fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified finance professional with experience in financial control and statutory accounts preparation. Strong knowledge of accounting processes, controls, and tax issues Advanced Excel skills paired with experience working within risk-based control environments. Proven ability to coach and develop staff while driving process improvements. Attention to detail with excellent report-writing and influencing skills.
