Our client, a leading global proprietary trading firm, is seeking a talented Precious Metals Options Trader to join their London-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, focusing on market-making and risk-trading within the precious metals options market.
Key Responsibilities- Market-Making:
Actively quote and trade precious metals options to provide liquidity and capture opportunities. - Risk Management:
Monitor, analyze, and manage risk positions in real time, ensuring adherence to the firm’s risk parameters. - Strategy Development:
Develop and implement innovative trading strategies to identify and capitalize on market inefficiencies. - Market Analysis:
Stay informed on global market trends, geopolitical events, and macroeconomic factors impacting the precious metals market. - Collaboration:
Work closely with quantitative researchers, developers, and other traders to refine trading models and strategies. - Technology Utilization:
Leverage cutting-edge trading platforms and proprietary tools to enhance trading efficiency and performance.
- 2-5 years of experience in options trading, with a strong focus on precious metals or related asset classes.
- Proven track record of profitability and risk management in a market‑making or risk‑trading role.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++ considered a plus.
- Deep understanding of options pricing, volatility dynamics, and market microstructure.
- Excellent communication and decision‑making skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a high‑stakes environment.
- A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
