The RoleThis graduate trainee position will provide financial analysis and reporting support while studying for ACCA/CIMA. The trainee will add value by providing timely, accurate financial analysis to assist business directors and department heads in monitoring performance. Responsibilities include preparing monthly reports, forecasts, reconciliations, budgeting, and ad‑hoc analysis.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly results, variance analysis, and commentary on schedule for senior management review.
- Present draft results and key variances to business directors and department heads.
- Act as finance contact for designated departments/countries, providing assistance and ad‑hoc analysis.
- Prepare revenue and expenditure forecasts, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Interpret and discuss forecast results with business directors and heads of departments/countries.
- Control and analyze designated profit & loss and balance sheet accounts.
- Compile the annual budget with business directors and department/country heads.
- Build strong working relationships within finance and with wider stakeholders.
- Provide various ad‑hoc analysis as required.
- Graduate with a 2:1 or above, preferably in finance, business, economics or mathematics.
- Minimum ‘A’ grade at Maths GCSE (or equivalent).
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, confident and driven to achieve.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Creative problem‑solving ability.
- Previous management accounting / financial accounting experience, particularly interpreting results for financial and non‑financial audiences.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of BI/reporting tools and SAP advantageous but not essential.
