Overview
Senior Analyst, Pricing, Capital Solutions at Pacific Life Re (London, ENG) is a full-time on-site role within the Capital Solutions Pricing team. The role reports to the Manager, Capital Solutions Pricing and involves actuarial analysis, pricing development, and collaboration with stakeholders to support deal structuring and risk assessment across a range of products, markets, and regulatory regimes.
Responsibilities- Perform detailed risk assessments and pricing for potential opportunities, considering deal economics, risk profile, counter party creditworthiness, market conditions, and regulatory constraints.
- Develop, apply, and review pricing methodologies to determine appropriate pricing levels aligned with underlying risk exposure.
- Provide risk and pricing analysis for deals and engage with stakeholders on deal characteristics and business opportunity.
- Collaborate with the Capital Solutions and PL Re teams to structure transactions that meet client needs while aligning with PL Re’s risk appetite.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of pricing guidelines and best-practice approaches for the Capital Solutions business.
- Assist in building, maintaining, and improving pricing models and tools to enhance analytical robustness, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support ongoing reporting and analysis of in-force Capital Solutions business, including treaty performance and balance sheet impacts, in collaboration with wider PL Re teams.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to support opportunity assessment and strategic thinking.
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in reinsurance pricing or structured solutions is preferred.
- Exposure to pricing, capital, valuation, or balance-sheet-focused work is desirable; knowledge of one or more capital regimes is an advantage.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work with complex and sometimes incomplete data.
- Ability to operate independently within a small, dynamic team, manage competing priorities, and meet time-critical deadlines.
