Location: Greater London

Dyer Baade & Company is a London-based M&A advisory firm advising owners, CEOs and professional investors on transactions in the £20–200m valuation range, with a particular specialisation in deals that involve an exit to Private Equity and mid‑market transactions in the wealth management sector. We focus selectively on mandates where strategic preparation, disciplined execution and competitive dynamics materially influence valuation and deal terms.

The firm is currently investing significantly in workflow automation, AI‑enabled research, knowledge management and transaction execution infrastructure to further enhance quality, efficiency and scalability across advisory processes.

We are now hiring an M&A Associate to strengthen our deal execution capabilities and support the firm’s growth ambitions.

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious and analytically strong professional who is seeking to build a long‑term career in M&A advisory.

The role is ideally suited to candidates with initial experience in Corporate Finance, Management Consulting, Transaction Services, or Financial Due Diligence who are looking to develop into a well‑rounded M&A adviser within a specialist boutique environment.

Working closely with senior advisers and Transaction Advisory Managers, you will support the execution of live M&A and strategic advisory mandates across a broad range of transaction work streams. From day one, you will gain meaningful exposure to live transactions whilst developing strong technical, analytical and project management skills.

Alongside transaction execution, you will also contribute to the firm’s ongoing adoption of AI‑enabled research, workflow automation and knowledge management tools that support more efficient and higher‑quality client delivery.

This role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop your technical expertise within a collaborative, intellectually rigorous and high‑performance advisory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the execution of buy‑side, sell‑side and strategic advisory mandates.
  • Preparing research, financial analysis and valuation materials.
  • Assisting with financial modelling and company analysis.
  • Supporting the preparation of Information Memoranda, management presentations and other client materials.
  • Coordinating due diligence processes and maintaining virtual data rooms.
  • Monitoring transaction timetables and supporting project management across multiple live engagements.
  • Undertaking market, buyer and industry research.
  • Supporting senior team members in preparing client meetings and presentations.
  • Assisting with the refinement and implementation of AI‑enabled workflows, research processes and knowledge management tools.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and best practice across the firm.
Candidate Profile
  • The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, highly organised and motivated by solving complex commercial problems.
  • They will enjoy working in a structured, high‑performance environment where quality, attention to detail and professionalism are valued above hierarchy.
  • We are looking for individuals who are keen to develop deep expertise in M&A advisory and who see themselves building a long‑term career within a specialist advisory firm.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in process improvement and the practical application of technology and AI to enhance transaction execution.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates who value quality, professionalism and execution excellence, and who enjoy working within structured, high‑accountability environments.
Experience & Qualifications
  • MBA / ACA / CA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Approximately 2–3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interest in workflow optimisation, AI‑enabled research tools and technology‑driven process improvement.
