A high growth fintech payments business is seeking a MiFID Compliance Specialist to join its expanding Compliance function. Operating within a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment, this role will play a key part in supporting the firm's regulatory framework as it continues to grow its investment services offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert Compliance advice on MiFID II requirements across products, services, and business initiatives.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Legal, Product, Operations, Commercial, and Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into business activities.
- Interpret regulatory developments and assess their impact on the firm's control framework, policies, and procedures.
- Support the implementation of regulatory change initiatives relating to MiFID, market conduct, investor protection, governance, and reporting obligations.
- Review and enhance Compliance policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
- Provide practical, risk based advice on new products, client propositions, and strategic initiatives.
- Support regulatory engagement, internal audits, and Compliance reviews where required.
- Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders across the business on MiFID and wider regulatory obligations.
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrable experience within a Compliance Advisory, Regulatory Compliance, or Legal function supporting MiFID regulated activities.
- Strong understanding of MiFID II, investment services regulation, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Experience gained within fintech, payments, investment firms, capital markets, or financial services environments.
- A legal qualification or previous experience within a legal function would be advantageous.
- Candidates from purely Business Analysis, Change, or Project Management backgrounds without hands on regulatory Compliance experience will not be suitable.
- Confident operating within a dynamic, evolving business where priorities can change quickly.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious organisation where Compliance is viewed as a strategic partner to the business and plays a key role in supporting continued growth and innovation.
