Financial Accountant

Trace are very glad to be partnering with The Royal Albert Hall to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Financial Accountant to join their Finance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the financial integrity of a dynamic and fast‑paced organisation. Working as part of a close‑knit finance team, this is a varied role responsible for various areas of financial reporting, external audit, compliance, tax and treasury.

• Year‑end tasks including support with preparation of the annual accounts for the parent charity and preparation of the annual accounts for our trading subsidiary and subsidiary charity.
• Provide technical accounting guidance across the organisation, including revenue recognition, fund accounting and the impact of VAT and tax rules.
• Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and provide insight to support strategic decision‑making and liquidity management.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets (year‑end), deferred income and restricted funds.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting by driving efficiencies and best practice

• The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years PQE and a strong technical background.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP (FRS 102)
• Experience with Charities SORP and fund accounting would be desirable but not essential
• Proven experience as a financial accountant including experience preparing statutory accounts and involvement in external audits.
