South Norfolk (near Diss) Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Office-Based The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join a growing finance team within a successful and well-established business in South Norfolk operating as a group function. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and commercial support to aid business decision-making. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, support key projects, and help drive the continued development of the finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a varied and rewarding role within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Produce monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary. Deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis to support business performance. Manage invoice financing facilities. Prepare payment proposals and support cash flow management. Provide financial guidance and support to operational management teams. Month-End & Financial Control Assist with the preparation of monthly stock reporting. Complete balance sheet and account reconciliations.
Process month-end journals and management accounting entries. Investigate and explain account variances and financial trends. Transactional Finance Support Provide support and cover across transactional finance activities, including:
Purchase order processing Purchase ledger invoice processing Sales invoicing Sales ledger transaction processing Customer and supplier account reconciliations Chasing outstanding information required to complete transactions Projects & Continuous Improvement Develop new reporting and financial analysis tools. Support budgeting, forecasting and finance-related projects. Work closely with non-finance teams to deliver meaningful management information. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes.
Assist with finance-related activities across the wider business. Complete regulatory surveys and data submissions as required. About You You will ideally be:
Qualified or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Experienced in a management accounting or similar finance role. Proficient in Excel, with intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills. A confident communicator who can build relationships across the business. A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
