Relationship Manager (Property Finance) Overview Reed is proud to be representing a long-established international bank in the search for an experienced Relationship Manager (Property Finance) . This role focuses on maintaining, developing and managing a high-quality commercial property lending portfolio, ensuring profitability and robust risk management. The successful candidate will play a key part in originating new business, deepening client relationships, mentoring junior colleagues, and safeguarding the bank’s credit and operational standards.

Main Purpose of the Role To maintain, develop and manage a profitable portfolio of high-quality property finance customers. To identify new business opportunities, strengthen existing relationships, and support the bank’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities Relationship Management Manage the day-to-day relationships across your property finance portfolio. Promote the bank’s property lending services to existing and prospective clients. Attend professional and networking events to build industry presence and generate new business leads. Conduct regular customer and site visits, documenting all findings in line with procedures. Credit & Risk Assessment Carry out detailed risk assessments for new proposals and existing facilities.

Prepare high-quality lending proposals (new, amendments and extensions) and present them to the Credit Committees. Monitor covenant compliance, external ratings, and watchlist customers. Identify risks early and immediately escalate concerns to senior management. Ensure all credit approval conditions are satisfied in a timely manner. Portfolio Management & Monitoring Maintain rigorous control and monitoring procedures to minimise risk of loss. Visit development sites at least three times per year and all other properties at least annually.

Track interest and fee collection, and follow up on delinquent loan positions. Liaise with lawyers, valuers, and monitoring surveyors as required. Ensure all documentation and security-taking procedures fully protect the bank. Business Development Support the expansion of the property finance portfolio through proactive engagement with potential clients. Update the property pipeline on a daily or weekly basis. Prepare regular reports, including monthly pipelines and portfolio updates, for senior management.
