Accounts Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong Xero experience who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support across transactional finance activities.

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices and supplier payments
• Raising and managing sales invoices and customer billings
• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash records
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Resolving invoice queries and liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Assisting with month-end procedures and finance reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties

• Proven experience working as an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role
• Strong hands-on experience using Xero is essential
• Excellent understanding of billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and transactional accounting
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage workloads effectively and work autonomously
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Available to start at short notice
