About the Role
We are looking for an Analyst to join the EMEA Project Finance team, supporting the origination and execution of complex financing transactions across the Power, Utilities and Renewable Energy sectors.
The team delivers a broad range of structured finance solutions, including limited recourse project financings, acquisition financings, portfolio financings, structured asset financings, subordinated debt, equity investments and advisory mandates. Working as part of a collaborative deal team, you will gain exposure to the full transaction lifecycle while developing strong technical, analytical and client-facing skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional with a strong interest in infrastructure and project finance to work on high-profile transactions across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with the origination and execution of new financing opportunities across the Power, Utilities and Renewables sectors.
- Performing financial analysis, valuation and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and transaction structures.
- Building, maintaining and reviewing complex financial models to support financing decisions.
- Preparing marketing presentations, client materials, credit applications and investment committee papers.
- Analysing project documentation, commercial contracts, term sheets and financing structures.
- Supporting transaction negotiations, due diligence, documentation and financial close.
- Coordinating financial modelling work streams across multiple stakeholders.
- Conducting sector, market and company research to identify industry trends and business opportunities.
- Participating in client meetings and supporting relationship management activities.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across product, legal, risk and other internal functions to deliver successful transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- 1–2 years' relevant experience, including internships, within Project Finance, Infrastructure Finance, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or a related environment.
- Exposure to financial modelling and cash flow analysis.
- Understanding of project finance principles and risk allocation.
- Experience supporting complex financing transactions is advantageous.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic (VBA) applied to financial models is advantageous.
- Strong numerical, research and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English.
- Proactive with a strong willingness to learn.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Able to prioritise effectively and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with the confidence to contribute within deal teams.
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
