Job Purpose Summary
The incumbent will primarily assist specific private banker(s) in managing relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) customers by handling all operational aspects of Private Banking client servicing. The incumbent will liaise with respective departments or units within the Group to ensure priority processing of customer needs and requests.
Responsibilities Shareholder & Financial- Develop and implement strategies to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets for the Private Banking (HNW) segment.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for the role.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency, enhance productivity, minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.
- Assist Private Bankers with all client‑related matters, including periodic sweep of clients’ accounts to identify needs for rebalancing investments, investing and reporting to the Private Banker.
- Ensure the Private Banker is up‑to‑date on all important client‑related matters.
- Act as a focal point and main contact person for the Private Banker.
- Act as the secondary account officer on each of the Private Banker’s clients’ accounts.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on all types of Credit Requests.
- Prepare all documentation related to credit facilities.
- Generate client reports (Statements, Credit Reports) as requested by the Private Banker.
- Liaise with Private Banking operations to follow up on requests (Credit Cards, Transfers, Deposits, account opening, etc.).
- Replace the Private Banker in all functions during his absence from the office.
- Answer all clients’ requests in case of the Private Banker’s unavailability.
- Prepare all documentation/presentation prior to a Private Banker’s client meeting.
- Ensure adequacy of documentation/information received by a client.
- Liaise with any Bank department to follow up/resolve any pending issues related to clients.
- Assist Private Bankers in managing on‑day‑to‑day portfolios of existing and potential clients to meet assigned financial targets, cross‑sell other units, make weekly client visits, and prepare related call reports.
- Implement the department's agreed marketing strategies by managing a portfolio of existing clients and growing QNB profits through increasing wallet share and effective cross‑sales, assisting in producing yearly Budget Forecast, Goals & Objectives, and Strategic Planning for the Unit. Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to improve turn‑around time.
- Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
- Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk as required.
- Assist Private Bankers with the advisory process by reviewing clients’ documentation, keeping information updated, and ensuring adequate periodic rebalancing.
- Assist Private Bankers with PB facilities process by studying new loan applications, preparing annual account reviews and renewals, reviewing the technical aspects of a loan and overdraft facility, and preparing mortgage loan agreements & collateral agreements.
- Assist Private Bankers to achieve full risk management requirements.
- Work with service providers to resolve specific problems.
- Ensure adherence to policy and legal requirements.
- Possess sound knowledge of the private banking business, its products, and related risks, together with a good knowledge of operations and control.
- Proactively identify areas for professional development and undertake development activities.
- Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in the professional field.
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements, including Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
