Location:
Central London (4 days per week in the office)
Salary:
Up to £40,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Study Support
We are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and prestigious investment organisation to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, taking ownership of transactional finance processes while supporting month-end and year-end activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices and maintaining supplier accounts
- Monitor invoice approval workflows and resolve supplier queries
- Process staff expenses and company credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, recharges and intercompany invoices
- Perform credit control and maintain debtor records
- Manage cashbooks, bank reconciliations and daily banking activities
- Prepare supplier and intercompany payment runs
- Support month-end close through accurate transactional processing and finance schedules
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and external audit requests
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
We re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a high-quality professional environment.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, payments and bank reconciliations
- Experience with cashbook management and transactional finance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience using cloud-based accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous
- A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and develop
- Salary up to £40,000
