OMFIF operates through four thematic institutes: the Economic and Monetary Policy Institute (EMP) convenes leaders from public and private sector institutions to discuss macroeconomic trends and shape the future of monetary policy and political economy; the Digital Monetary Institute explores the topic of payments, including digital currency as an alternative to cash, and brings together technologists and policy-makers at the heart of decisions relating to the future of finance.

The Sustainable Policy Institute (SPI) focuses on sustainable finance, addressing the policy, regulatory and investment challenges posed by environmental, social and governance themes with those responsible for shaping the sustainability agenda; and the Sovereign Debt Institute convenes issuers across the global sovereign, supranational and agency debt community for high-level, strategic and constructive dialogue on the key issues each side faces.

The role:

OMFIF plays a leading role in convening the public and private sectors to shape best practice in economic and financial policy through its membership networks, meetings, research and publications. This position sits within OMFIF’s Economic and Monetary Policy Institute (EMP), the organisation’s platform dedicated to monetary policy, macroeconomic developments, financial stability, public investment and regulatory issues.

This role has a primary focus on the United States and Emerging Markets (APAC, Lat Am and EMEA). They will lead on the development and delivery of a targeted programme of high-level round tables and policy discussions across these regions.

This is primarily an events content producer role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, curating and delivering a high-quality programme of round tables and policy discussions for senior policymakers and market participants, with a particular emphasis on U.S. economic and monetary policy and developments across key emerging market economies.

EMP convenes central banks, multilateral financial institutions, finance ministries, regulators, commercial banks, investors and advisers for candid, off-the-record dialogue on the most pressing economic and financial challenges of the day. Within this, the role-holder will cultivate strong networks across U.S. financial institutions and emerging market stakeholders.

Amid heightened economic uncertainty and geopolitical tension, the ability to design relevant, timely and well-structured discussions is more important than ever. You will play a central role in shaping the intellectual direction of EMP’s meetings programme for the U.S. and Emerging Markets — identifying themes, crafting agendas, securing high-level speakers and ensuring each event delivers meaningful policy insight and engagement.
