Debt Advisory Lead

Steering Point is pleased to represent our client, a leading Corporate Finance practice located in the Benelux region, on behalf of whom we are currently looking for a Head of Debt Advisory.

As the Head of Debt Advisory, you will lead, scale and drive the strategic direction of the Debt Advisory practice. This is a high-profile role, requiring a very credible market presence, an established network of lender relationships and a demonstrable track record in origination and execution of mid-market and bigger ticket debt transactions.

• Define and execute the growth strategy for the Debt Advisory business
• Lead business development initiatives to originate new debt advisory mandates
• Act as the lead advisor on complex debt raisings, acquisitions, growth capital, refinancings etc.
• Maintain and leverage a wide network of relationships across banks, debt funds, institutional investors and alternative lenders.
• Oversee the preparation of high-quality credit papers and lender presentations
• Lead commercial negotiations on debt structures, pricing and covenants
• Direct, mentor and grow a high-performing team of debt advisory professionals

• 12+ years experience in Debt Advisory, Lev Finance, DCM or Corporate Banking, with significant time spent at a leading advisory firm or investment bank
• A demonstrable track record of originating debt transactions,
  with an excellent network in London and Europe
• Excellent knowledge of the full spectrum of debt products
• Strong academic background, ideally with a professional qualification
• Fluency in English and French
