Are you ready to step into a vital role as an EDD & AML Onsite Review Officer and help protect financial integrity? Elevate your career with a position that rewards expertise, diligence, and impactful decision-making. Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Banking Circle is a fully licensed, technology‑enabled bank processing over €1 trillion in payments every year - and growing. We exist to power the global economy’s most ambitious payments businesses with infrastructure that is fast, modern, and engineered for scale. Today, more than 800 people across 11 countries work together as one global team. We move fast, we think boldly, and we build with intent - because our clients depend on us to keep pace with the world’s most dynamic payments flows.

We are expanding globally, scaling our capabilities, and deepening our impact, so if you want to shape the future of financial infrastructure - this is the place.

Your team welcomes you with open arms

As our new EDD & AML Onsite Review Officer in the Business AML team in London, you’ll experience an open and knowledge driven culture, where everyone can thrive, connect with colleagues, learn and grow. Here you will be empowered to make an impact every day.

In this role you will get the chance to support the onboarding function by conducting enhanced due diligence and onsite reviews for Banking Circle’s regulated and high-risk clients worldwide. This role manages the entire EDD process for new and existing clients, focusing on comprehensive risk assessments and correspondent services, and delivers detailed reports and recommendations. Responsibilities also include ongoing transactional risk reviews, client discussions, and potential travel to client premises.

We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.

Exciting work is waiting for you
  • Be a trusted partner for clients and internal stakeholders, leading EDD site visits, calls and challenge conversations that help us understand and manage financial crime risk.
  • Own end-to-end EDD reviews for correspondent banks, MSBs, Third Party Payment Providers, Digital Asset Currency clients and other higher-risk client types.
  • Use your experience and judgement to make clear, risk-based recommendations aligned to Banking Circle’s risk appetite, policies and financial crime standards.
  • Turn complex payment activity and transactional data into meaningful insight, identifying risks such as nesting, high-risk industry exposure and unusual client behaviour.
  • Produce clear, high-quality EDD reports that bring together client risk assessment, key findings, rationale, recommendations and follow-up actions.
  • Escalate material risk concerns with confidence, engaging senior stakeholders and risk forums where needed.
  • Build a strong understanding of each client’s business model, operating model, transaction flows and financial crime risk profile.
  • Collaborate with KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, Compliance and wider teams to support ongoing EDD, remediation and client follow-up activity.
Things we’ll look for on your resume

You will thrive in this role if you bring strong financial crime experience, curiosity and confidence in working with complex clients and payment risk. You will understand AML/CTF risks across correspondent banking, Web3 and payments, and be comfortable analysing large volumes of transactional data to spot risks such as nesting, high-risk industry exposure and unusual payment activity.

CAMS, ICA or an equivalent industry qualification is desirable, although we also welcome candidates who are ready to work towards relevant certification.

Just as importantly, you will bring sound judgement, attention to detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, deliver great client service and produce clear, high-quality EDD reports.
