We are partnering exclusively with a PE-backed specialist financial services business who are in the midst of an ambitious buy and build strategy.
The business is seeking a Head of FP&A to lead the financial planning and analysis function whilst playing a pivotal role in supporting strategic investment and M&A activity.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible position offering significant exposure to the Executive Committee and the opportunity to influence key commercial and strategic decisions.
This role would suit an experienced FP&A professional looking to step into a broader strategic leadership position with significant exposure to M&A, Executive-level decision making and value creation within a growing, investor backed financial services business.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading the budgeting, forecasting and long range planning processes across the business
- Developing robust financial models, scenario analysis and forecasting assumptions to support strategic decision making
- Producing insightful management reporting with meaningful analysis and commentary for the Executive Committee and Board
- Supporting a highly active acquisition strategy through financial modelling, valuations, due diligence and investment analysis
- Partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to evaluate strategic opportunities and commercial initiatives
- Managing and developing direct reports whilst continuing to enhance the FP&A function
- Working collaboratively with finance teams across the UK to improve reporting, planning and financial insight
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, data quality and financial reporting capabilities
- Providing proactive financial challenge and commercial insight, helping shape business decisions rather than simply reporting outcomes
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post qualified FP&A experience
- Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management reporting within a regulated environment
- Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to build scenario models and challenge business assumptions
- Demonstrable M&A experience, gained either in house through Corporate Development or FP&A or within Transaction Services, Corporate Finance or Deal Advisory
- Experience operating within an FCA regulated financial services business
- Commercially minded with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and contribute within Executive Committee discussions
- Highly analytical, intellectually curious and able to solve problems from first principles
- Strong systems and data capability with a continuous improvement mindset
- Organised and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Collaborative, personable and proactive with the credibility to build strong relationships across the business
