** The Team
** You will join the Workplace Finance team within the broader Commercial Finance function, working in close collaboration with the Workplace Business Unit—particularly the Investment team—and Group Finance. The team acts as a highly proactive and commercially astute business partner, playing a central role in driving performance and maximising value creation across both earnings and property valuations.

** The role
*** A key role within Commercial Finance, reporting to the Finance Director of Workplace, this position leads strategic business partnering for the ExCo Member – Head of Investments. The role is integral to Landsec’s investment activity, with a primary focus on acquisitions and disposals, and plays a pivotal part in delivering the Group’s capital recycling strategy.
* Acting as the finance business partner to the Head of Investments, the role is responsible for managing performance and shaping financial plans for Workplace Investments, working across the portfolio to enhance performance through a disciplined capital allocation lens.

** Principle Accountabilities
*** Provide strategic planning and decision support to the Head of Investments, delivering financial insights to guide long term goals and strategies focusing on investments (including referencing to external benchmarking), whilst providing robust challenge and influencing the delivery of their financial KPI’s.
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for Workplace’s operational capex, valuations and acquisitions & disposals, ensuring that submissions reflect challenging but realistic forecasts with key assumptions benchmarked against internal/external best practice and supplemented with “what if” scenarios and potential risks, opportunities and trade-off’s clearly defined and communicated.
* Work in partnership with the Commercial Performance & Planning (“CP&P team”) & Group FP&A team, introducing and developing forward looking executive reports applicable to Workplace’s Investments (capex / valuations / acquisitions & disposals), with insightful analysis, metrics and exception reports which support the Exco in making informed decisions and identify opportunities to drive improved financial performance and maximise value.
* Lead the bi-annual valuation process / external reporting for the Workplace business unit, ensuring timelines, deliverables and targets are clear, as well as working with the other FBP’s, CP&P team to undertake analysis on the valuations to identify opportunities for further growth.
* Act as the primary strategic partner to the business leads, developing action plans on monthly results to drive improved financial performance and introducing clear and concise options for the business on capex, valuations, acquisitions & disposals and EPRA earnings.
