We are supporting a long-established international bank, with a European platform and strong connectivity across the Middle East and North Africa, in the appointment of a senior Treasury leader based in London. This is a broad functional leadership role with responsibility for strategy, performance and control across liquidity, funding, foreign exchange, money markets and capital markets, together with the leadership and development of an experienced specialist team.
Key Responsibilities- Set and deliver the Treasury strategy, operating plan and budget in line with the Bank's objectives and risk appetite.
- Manage regulatory liquidity, funding, cash and market-risk positions within approved internal and regulatory parameters.
- Oversee foreign exchange, money-market, investment and capital-markets activity, optimising returns within a robust control framework.
- Provide clear Treasury and balance-sheet advice to senior management and relevant governance forums.
- Manage relationships with wholesale counter parties and other market participants, maintaining appropriate access to liquidity and pricing.
- Maintain a strong first-line risk, control, financial-crime and regulatory culture across the function.
- Lead, develop and motivate a specialist Treasury team, setting clear objectives and maintaining the required technical capability.
- At least 10 years' Treasury experience within a regulated bank, including significant senior-management responsibility.
- Strong practical expertise across foreign exchange, money markets, liquidity and funding, together with exposure to capital-markets instruments.
- Direct experience managing regulatory liquidity, market-risk limits and balance-sheet priorities.
- Experience contributing to ALCO or an equivalent senior balance-sheet and risk-governance forum.
- A proven record of leading and developing a multidisciplinary Treasury team.
- Strong knowledge of UK banking regulation, first-line risk, controls and conduct requirements.
- Commercial judgement, analytical strength and the credibility to advise senior executives.
- Relevant degree and/or recognised Treasury professional qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and ability to work regularly from London.
