Cititec are working with an energy trading company who specialise in Power, Gas, and LNG. They are seeking a highly technical LNG Analytics Analyst to join a front-office LNG trading team. This role will focus on developing analytical models, market intelligence and quantitative tools to support trading, structuring and commercial decision-making across global LNG markets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop analytical tools and quantitative models to support LNG trading and structuring activities.
- Perform valuation, pricing and pre-deal analysis for physical and financial LNG transactions.
- Build and maintain portfolio, exposure and P&L analytics for front-office decision making.
- Analyse global LNG market fundamentals, including supply, demand, shipping, storage and regional gas market dynamics.
- Develop fundamental market models and forward curve analytics to support trading strategies.
- Work closely with traders to identify commercial opportunities and optimise portfolio performance.
- Automate analytical processes and enhance front-office tools using Python and modern data techniques.
- Experience with in LNG trading, analytics or quantitative analysis in an energy trading environment.
- Strong understanding of global LNG markets and market fundamentals.
- Experience with valuation, pricing and portfolio analytics across physical and financial commodity markets.
- Strong quantitative skills with experience in statistical analysis, forecasting or modelling.
- Advanced Python skills and experience working with large market datasets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex insights to front-office stakeholders.
- Experience building fundamental supply and demand models or proprietary forward curves.
- Knowledge of LNG shipping economics, optimisation or commercial contract structures.
- Exposure to option pricing, stochastic modelling or quantitative risk techniques.
- Experience developing front-office analytics, pricing libraries or trading tools.
