Join a Leading International Law Firm
We are looking for a Financial Crime Analyst to support the firm's financial crime compliance programme, helping to ensure compliance with AML and broader regulatory obligations across new business intake and client onboarding.
Working as part of an experienced Financial Crime team, you will undertake client due diligence, assess financial crime risks, conduct research into complex ownership structures, and provide day‑to‑day guidance to internal stakeholders on AML and CDD matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct AML, KYC and Client Due Diligence (CDD) reviews for new and existing clients.
- Perform sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
- Complete client and matter risk assessments in line with regulatory requirements.
- Analyse complex corporate structures to identify ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO).
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain outstanding CDD documentation and resolve onboarding queries.
- Provide advice on routine AML and financial crime matters.
- Work closely with wider Risk and New Business Intake teams to ensure an efficient onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed within agreed service levels.
Targeted Experience
- At least 18 months' experience working within Financial Crime, AML, KYC or Compliance.
- Experience gained within a legal or professional services organisation
. - A law degree, a relevant compliance qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of AML, KYC and CDD processes.
- Experience conducting sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
- Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to investigate complex ownership structures.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with a range of internal stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
