Credit Controller - Fast-Paced FMCG Business Warrington | Up to £32,000 | Full-Time Looking to take your Credit Control career to the next level? The Role:

As Credit Controller, you'll play a key role in managing cash flow, reducing aged debt, and maintaining strong customer relationships in a fast-moving environment. You'll take ownership of the sales ledger while working closely with internal teams to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively contact debtors via phone, email, and written communication to recover outstanding balances Maintain regular communication with Sales Managers to review and reduce aged debt Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring accurate customer and transaction records Negotiate payment terms and work to bring accounts back within agreed terms Investigate and resolve customer queries and disputes efficiently Ensure cash collection and debtor targets are consistently achieved Escalate overdue or high-risk accounts to senior stakeholders where necessary Handle high-volume, fast-moving accounts across multiple payment channels Allocate payments and manage inbox queries within agreed SLAs Open new customer accounts and perform relevant checks Process credit notes accurately and in a timely manner Provide Sales teams with regular debt reporting and insights Support month-end, year-end processes, and audit requirements Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency within the sales ledger function

About You:

Proven experience in Credit Control or a similar finance role Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Proactive, solutions-focused approach Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales and Finance teams Good Excel and systems knowledge What's in It for You?
