Corporate Banking Relationship Manager (Credit Analyst) - What You'll be Doing:
Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic credit analyst with a background and deep expertise in the corporate banking loan market, particularly within the scope of syndicated loans. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing corporate customer relationship while drafting comprehensive credit analyses/application and loan execution, ensuring adherence to Loan Market Association (LMA) standards and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

Credit Analysis & Application Drafting:
  • Prepare detailed credit analysis for both syndicated and bilateral loans, assessing the financial health and risk profile of corporate borrowers.
  • Draft high-quality credit applications for loan approvals, including cash flow analysis, debt capacity, covenant compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that all credit documentation aligns with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Syndicated & Bilateral Loan Structuring:
  • Collaborate closely with the origination team, credit risk department, and legal teams to structure syndicated and bilateral loan facilities.
  • Develop financial models and stress testing to support credit decisions.
  • Assist in negotiating loan terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with LMA standards and market practices.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Assisted the department head to manage and grow relationships with corporate clients, understanding their financial needs and identifying banking solutions.
  • Actively prepared and participated in client meetings to discuss lending opportunities, financial strategies, and tailored banking products.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

Experience:
  • Relevant experience as a Relationship Manager or Credit Analyst within Corporate Banking/Leveraged Finance/ Risks Management Team, with significant exposure to the loan market.
  • Strong understanding of Loan Market Association (LMA) practices and documentation.
  • Ability to conduct due diligence and credit analysis/application independently.
Technical

Skills:
  • Advanced credit analysis skills, including financial statement analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with structuring and negotiating loan documentation in alignment with LMA standards.
Personal

Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, including legal, risk, and origination teams.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA) are an advantage.
