Commercial Finance Manager - Sustainability

Experteer Overview In this Finance Manager - Sustainability role, you will shape Sainsbury's sustainability strategy using financial insights. You'll partner with Finance, Sustainability, and other business units to support Plan for Better commitments and drive value for customers and communities. You'll assess financial and non-financial impacts of sustainability initiatives and develop models to guide decisions, while strengthening data governance and stakeholder relationships.

• Evaluate financial and non-financial impacts of sustainability initiatives
• Develop financial models to inform decision-making
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support sustainability priorities and resilience
• Enhance quality, governance, and accessibility of sustainability data and reporting
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainable practices
• Provide financial leadership, insights, and strategic guidance to deliver Plan for Better commitments
• Tasks Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Commercial finance business partnering experience
• Demonstrable interest or experience in sustainability, ESG or corporate responsibility
• Ability to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders across functions
• Experience identifying business issues, using analysis to develop recommendations
• Proficiency with advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with analytics tools is desirable
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
