The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the transactional finance function while delivering robust financial controls and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control teams. Oversee the end-to-end purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash processes. Ensure supplier payments and customer collections are processed accurately and on time. Monitor cash flow, aged debt and working capital performance. Produce KPI reports and management information on transactional finance performance. Drive improvements across finance processes, controls and systems. Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and audit requirements.
Manage month-end close activities relating to the transactional finance function, including reconciliations and ledger integrity. Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders. Support finance transformation projects, including system implementations and process automation. Coach, mentor and develop members of the finance team, creating a culture of continuous improvement. About You We're looking for an experienced finance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering operational excellence.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience managing a transactional finance function. Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control. Experience leading and developing finance teams. Excellent understanding of financial controls and month-end processes. Strong Excel and finance systems experience. A proactive approach to process improvement and automation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
