Job description NS&I is undergoing a complex Business Transformation Programme (BTP) the role of Senior Finance Business partner is key to ensuring a strong financial management culture within the programme.
The post holder will be responsible for advising the BTP Senior Responsible Officer and Programme Director on the current and future BTP financial position, its underpinning forecast assumptions and associated financial risks and opportunities. They will scrutinise and challenge financial forecasts through analysis of assumptions, historic data and risks and opportunities and provide insightful commentary to explain variances from budget and prior month’s forecasts.
This role will be the finance first point of contact for Programme finance queries, and will work alongside the Programme Accountant, Commercial Finance team and PMO Forecasting Lead to ensure robust financial and cost controls are in place and a consistent forecasting approach taken.

Essential Experience
Experience of programme financial forecasting and reporting
Evidence of providing financial support to organisations undergoing complex change
Development of financial reporting, including interpretation of data to highlight trends and anomalies
Experience of advising, and working with, a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure Departmental outcomes are met Essential Qualifications Fully Qualified CCAB/CIMAEssential SkillsA strong communicator who utilises a range of communication styles to convey complex and challenging information to stakeholders.
Demonstration of building effective relationships and networks across functional boundaries internal and externally to ensure effective and efficient delivery of agreed, priority outcomes.
Ability to respond proactively and positively to rapidly changing priorities and urgent requirements, leading change within their own team.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and position the impact of financial risks and opportunities to governance bodies
Essential Technical Skills Advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with data analytics tools
