VP of FP&A

A private equity backed professional services provider with c.700m turnover and operations covering 15 global entities is searching for a VP of FP&A to build out their financial analysis and planning function. This is a hands on high-impact role for a finance professional who is detail orientated, commercially minded and analytical. As VP of FP&A you will be partnering directly with the CFO and reporting to key stakeholders.

• Owns end-to-end budgeting, reforecasts, rolling forecasts and long-range planning across all sites, providing clear visibility on growth trajectory to the CFO, leadership team and PE sponsor.
• Produces monthly management accounts, board packs and investor reporting, with detailed variance analysis, KPI commentary and site/sector-specific KPIs.
• Builds and maintains robust financial models for business planning, scenario analysis, unit economics/cohort analysis and capital allocation decisions.
• Leads cash flow forecasting and working capital monitoring (DSO, DPO, DIO), and supports the PE reporting cycle (covenant reporting, quarterly investor updates, ad hoc queries).
• Acts as a trusted business partner to operational and commercial leaders, supporting due diligence, fundraising, exit-readiness and post-acquisition integration.
• Builds, leads and develops the FP&A team, driving standardisation of systems, models and processes while setting standards for analytical quality and stakeholder engagement.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualified experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
• Proven experience within a private equity-backed professional services business.
• Experience owning end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts in a fast-scaling business.
• Advanced financial modelling skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight.
• Experience supporting private equity reporting requirements, including covenant reporting, KPI packs, and investor queries.
• Track record of improving finance systems, processes, and reporting capability.
• A confident communicator, comfortable business partnering and presenting to senior stakeholders and PE investors.
