Nomia helps companies reduce cost, manage risk, and increase efficiency for non-strategic third-party spend. We act as an extension of our customer's procurement team by executing the end-to-end sourcing, supplier onboarding and contracting process for indirect categories of spend.

We are focused on delivering an innovative and disruptive procurement solution to our customers to make managing non-strategic spend simpler, more transparent, and better value.

We are a global team based in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Dubai, Poland, and the United States.

Please note, Nomia operates on a hybrid model, with 3 days a week in the office, and 2 days a week working remotely.

The Role

As the business continues its growth and professionalisation journey, we are seeking a highly capable Finance Director to act as a trusted finance partner and lead all aspects of our financial operations across a multi-entity, international group.

This is a highly visible leadership role. You will have responsibility for a sizeable team and a mandate to drive operational excellence and accelerate international expansion into current and future markets. You will be critical to ensuring the finance function operates efficiently and at pace, with strong controls, clear reporting, and proactive cash management.

You will bring strong technical finance expertise alongside proven leadership skills and the ability to influence at Executive level. You are hands-on but think strategically, and you are comfortable operating across multiple entities and geographies in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and refine the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with financial controls.
  • Develop and maintain all financial policies, systems, and internal controls to ensure the finance function is robust, efficient, and audit-ready.
  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, forecasting, and financing relationships.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit control, ensuring timely collections and efficient payment processes.
  • Build and maintain detailed cash flow models to provide the executive team with clear, forward-looking visibility.
  • Provide timely, relevant financial insight and analysis to support decision-making and business growth.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities in partnership with functional leads.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements, including international financial regulations where applicable.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation, reducing manual tasks and improving transparency.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in finance and accounting roles, ideally within the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial control, cash flow management, and operational finance.
  • Proven experience leading a multi-disciplinary finance team within a high-growth international business.
  • Strong technical expertise across financial reporting, controls, treasury, tax, and audit.
  • Strong understanding of credit control, AR/AP processes, and treasury operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across the business and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics or similar) is advantageous.
Desirable
  • Experience in expansion and entity set-up across international markets.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
  • Exposure to procurement or project-based accounting.
  • Experience with SaaS metrics (e.g. ARR, churn, CAC) is a plus.
General Information
  • Adhere to Nomia's data protection and information security policies at all times.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in line with Nomia's core values.
  • This is a hybrid role, with two office days per week required, potentially more during training or as requested by your supervisor.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Please note that this role description is a guideline, and duties may evolve over time.
