Finance Manager

An established international investment business is looking to appoint a qualified Finance Manager to join its London team, taking financial ownership of a high-profile international commercial real estate portfolio.

This is a broad, commercially focused role offering exposure to a diverse range of European assets, working closely with senior stakeholders, investors and teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Alongside ownership of financial reporting and control, the role will provide involvement across portfolio performance, investment activity, financing, budgeting and strategic projects, offering considerably more breadth than a traditional Finance Manager position.

The Role

• Working closely with senior finance leadership and colleagues across Europe, responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing monthly and quarterly reporting across a portfolio of investment structures
• Producing consolidated financial information for external stakeholders
• Managing annual audit activity across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Reviewing financial information supplied by operating businesses and external accounting providers
• Assessing balance sheets, P&Ls and underlying accounting records
• Managing budgets, forecasts and variance analysis across investment entities
• Preparing financial information associated with financing arrangements and lender requirements
• Monitoring project expenditure and associated cash flow implications
• Supporting the wider investment and transaction teams with financial analysis
• Reviewing indirect and corporate tax submissions alongside specialist advisers
• Supporting year-end tax calculations and other finance-led projects
• Coordinating with overseas finance teams, advisers and operational businesses
• Assisting with banking, entity administration and governance requirements
• Supporting new acquisitions and the establishment of appropriate financial and corporate structures

The Candidate

• We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience gained within real estate, investment management, hospitality, private equity or another asset-backed investment environment would be particularly relevant.
• The successful individual will be comfortable managing multiple entities and stakeholders simultaneously and should have strong knowledge of financial reporting, audit processes and accounting controls.
