Your new company

A rapidly growing, privately owned business based in West London, Surrey is seeking a dynamic Head of Finance to join its leadership team. Following significant recent investment, the business is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation, with revenues now exceeding £120 million and ambitious plans for further expansion.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth organisation that is evolving from an entrepreneurial business into a sophisticated, well-structured medium-sized enterprise. Recently featured in the 2026 Fast Track Growth Guide, the company operates globally across multiple entities and currencies and has established itself as a market leader within its sector.

Based in modern offices with on-site parking and excellent transport links, the business operates a hybrid working policy of 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

Reporting directly to a passionate and ambitious CEO, this role will act as a trusted adviser to the Board and senior leadership team, helping shape business strategy, support investment decisions and build the financial foundations required for continued growth. Candidates with experience within infrastructure, assets, projects, engineering, industrial or capital-intensive environments will be particularly well suited.

Your new role

As Head of Finance, you will hold the number one finance position within the business and play a critical role in driving both operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

Leading a team of eight finance professionals, you will provide clear direction, leadership and development whilst ensuring the finance function delivers timely, accurate and insightful financial information to support business performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all management accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Supporting the Board and executive team on strategic planning, investment appraisal and commercial decision-making.
  • Developing and implementing the long-term financial strategy to support ambitious growth plans.
  • Managing funding requirements, cash flow, treasury and financial risk.
  • Overseeing statutory reporting, IFRS compliance, annual audits and tax matters.
  • Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and reporting.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and optimisation of the Oracle ERP platform alongside the Systems Accountant.
  • Managing group reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions within a multi-currency environment, including FX considerations.
  • Acting as a commercial business partner to senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing financial insight and challenge to support performance and growth.

Whilst this is not initially a Finance Director role, there is a clear and realistic pathway for the position to evolve into a Finance Director appointment as the business continues to scale.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a proven track record of leading finance functions within a growing and evolving business.

You will have experience operating within a group structure, managing multiple entities and multi-currency reporting, and be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, investors and board members.

We are seeking an individual who combines strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and leadership capability. Whilst this is a senior leadership role, the successful candidate must also be willing to remain hands-on when required. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving and developing finance functions rather than simply maintaining them.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Strong group accounting and multi-currency experience.
  • Exposure to IFRS reporting and statutory compliance.
  • The ability to influence and challenge senior leadership teams.
  • A track record of improving systems, processes and controls.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience with in infrastructure, assets, projects, engineering, industrial or similarly complex environments would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, ambitious and collaborative leadership style.
What you’ll get in return

A highly competitive salary of £120,000 to £150,000, plus an attractive benefits package.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-growth business at a pivotal stage in its development, where you will have genuine influence over the future direction of the organisation.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Shape and develop the finance function.
  • Act as a key adviser to the CEO, Board and investors.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and future investment activity.
  • Lead transformational change across systems, processes and reporting.
  • Build a long-term career within an ambitious and expanding business.
  • Progress towards a future Finance Director position as the organisation continues to grow.
