You help ensure derivative accounting and reporting policies are applied consistently, and you deliver accurate close and management information. You partner with front office, finance stakeholders, and technology to improve data, controls, and reporting frameworks. You contribute to a culture where we strengthen governance while using automation and approved artificial intelligence capabilities to reduce manual effort and improve transparency.
Job responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly close deliverables and support applicable regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Maintain and enhance procedures and controls over hedging activity reporting, including audit testing support, evidence provision, and remediation tracking
Apply derivative accounting and reporting policies consistently and escalate issues and exceptions in a timely manner
Analyze firmwide foreign exchange exposures, including forecasted revenues and expenses and non USD investments in subsidiaries
Draft clear hedge instructions for portfolio managers in line with established hedging frameworks
Explain hedge profit and loss drivers, including foreign exchange and rates impacts, and deliver management-ready commentary
Build and maintain senior-management analytics and management information packs, including variance and driver-based analysis
Identify process simplification opportunities and implement control and efficiency improvements with the team Partner with Technology to deliver reporting requirements, resolve data issues, and support new hedging programs and reporting frameworks
Adopt automation and JPMorgan
Chase-approved artificial intelligence tooling to accelerate commentary, standardize packs, and reduce manual reconciliations with auditability
Build relationships with controllers, planning and analysis partners, chief financial officers, treasurers, and regional teams to support global hedging programs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or another numerate discipline
Solid years of experience in financial control, product control, or financial reporting within financial services
Working knowledge of interest rate swaps, foreign exchange swaps, forwards, cross-currency swaps, fixed income instruments, and long-term debt Solid grounding in financial accounting and finance, including interest in derivative and hedge accounting concepts
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including complex formulas)
Experience using data automation and reporting tools (for example, Alteryx or similar)
Ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, executive-ready written commentary and verbal updates
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and recurring deliverables
Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology Ability to run individual work streams with minimal supervision while partnering effectively with a broader team Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Professional qualification (for example, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Financial Analyst, or equivalent)
Direct experience supporting hedge accounting and/or derivative accounting policy implementation
Experience supporting regulatory reporting deliverables related to hedging or treasury activity
Proven track record delivering reporting enhancements or change initiatives with Technology partners
Experience implementing well-governed automation or artificial intelligence-enabled workflows in a finance control environment
