Job Description Summary We (Commercial Banking FP&A Reporting team) are an agile and supportive team with a desire to develop all of its colleagues via learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and cross training!

The team is responsible for pulling together and building understanding around financial reporting and analysis for Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Corporate & Institutional Business (CIB). These activities form the basis of our key purpose, to support financial inputs and understanding to key forums such as the Group Executive Committee (GEC), Business Review Support Meetings (BRSM), Business Units Executive Committees (ExCo) and the Asset and Liability Management Forum (ALMF).

We work alongside the Finance Business Partners and Centre’s of Excellence teams to produce high quality insight into the drivers of performance and to support decision making across the business.

Our hybrid ways of working means that we can support a work-life balance that suits you, with a mix of home and office working. We're open to discuss flexible/variable hours (or other working arrangements). The current expectation is to work a minimum of two days a week in the office.

Come and be part of an exciting journey; embrace the challenge and opportunity and play a hugely important role in supporting a significant business within the Group!

Job Description The colleague will be supported through the production of key financial and strategic insight and analysis for an executive audience, including the writing of commentary and explanation of the key drivers of performance, ensuring that Finance remains a key partner in driving the business forwards.

Activities could include:

Balance Sheet and Income reporting

Production of margins analysisEVA and Returns analysis

Quarterly external reporting and competitor analysis

The role will provide the colleague with an excellent opportunity to develop their understanding of the entire Commercial Banking business, its financial performance and competitor landscape, working in close proximity with senior partners as well as collaborating closely with a vast range of teams across CB Finance and the broader Group.

What we need from you?

We're looking for a pro-active and self-motivated individual with some understanding of Commercial Banking and an ability to form important relationships.

You're expected to have a financial qualification (or financial skills developed through practical experience) and have a strong analytical capability using Excel.

Other key skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and explain information to diverse audiences

Ability to influence a wider (sometimes virtual) team to deliver together

Challenging constructively to support better quality outputs and outcomes
