Job Description & How to Apply Below
Reporting directly to the Director of Investor Relations, this is a rare opportunity to sit at the centre of the UK’s semiconductor investment landscape, working with VCs, growth funds, corporates, founders and global investors.
Why this role matters
Semiconductors are the backbone of modern technology. The UK has world‑class capability - but the investment story needs sharper articulation, stronger connectivity and a more coordinated capital strategy. This role is your chance to influence that narrative at national level.
What you’ll lead
Build and nurture relationships across VC, growth equity, corporate venture and international capital
Convene high‑quality investor engagement: round tables, briefings, workshops, targeted events
Produce investor‑grade materials that clearly communicate the UK semiconductor opportunity
Support founders on fundraising readiness: positioning, messaging, investor alignment
Track investment trends, capital flows and sentiment across semiconductors and deep tech
Map and explain public funding pathways (UK & global) to help companies blend dilutive and non‑dilutive capital
Contribute to UKSC’s flagship publications, frameworks and data‑driven insights
What you bring
Background in venture capital, investment banking, deep‑tech investing, or high‑tech/semiconductor environments
Strong understanding of capital raising and investor decision‑making
Exceptional communication and analytical skills
Ability to engage credibly with both investors and technically sophisticated founders
Qualification flexible: finance, investment, engineering, science or similar
How you operate
Commercially sharp, relationship‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑moving, mission‑led environment
Confident navigating both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution
Naturally network‑oriented - you enjoy being out in the ecosystem, connecting dots and building momentum
Location & Travel
Hybrid: 2 days per week in King’s Cross
Travel: UK & Europe, with occasional global trips for key events and investor engagements
