Pure are excited to be partnered with a leading global, listed business within heavy industry. The organisation is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its high‑performing Group Finance division. This role is based in London with hybrid working (three days per week in the office) and offers broad exposure across UK, African and wider international tax matters.
The company is a major player, operating across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the Americas. With a strong engineering and technical heritage, the organisation continues to expand and plays a central role in supporting the transition to a low‑carbon global economy.
Role OverviewThe Tax Manager will act as the UK tax lead while supporting tax strategy and compliance across multiple African jurisdictions. The role spans tax compliance, advisory, transfer pricing, governance, tax risk management and cross‑border projects. You will partner closely with finance, commercial, treasury and legal teams, and work with international colleagues across the Group.
Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting- Manage and review UK and African corporate income tax compliance obligations.
- Coordinate with external advisers and internal tax teams to ensure timely, accurate filings.
- Review tax forecasts, provisions and disclosures for statutory and consolidated reporting.
- Provide practical tax advice on business transactions and operational matters.
- Advise on withholding tax, indirect tax and cross‑border tax issues.
- Contribute to projects including M&A, financing and joint ventures.
- Support the Group’s transfer pricing framework and documentation.
- Assist with intercompany arrangements and TP reviews.
- Work with overseas teams on international tax projects and compliance.
- Support restructurings, acquisitions, disposals and financing arrangements.
- Provide guidance and training to local tax teams on corporate tax, WHT, VAT and sector‑specific tax matters.
- Promote best practice and process improvement.
- Assist with tax authority interactions and monitor legislative changes.
- Support the Group’s tax governance and risk management framework.
- Assist with audits, enquiries and dispute resolution.
- Ensure robust documentation of key tax positions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes and controls.
