This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing, £50m turnover advertising business at a pivotal stage in its journey. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control while partnering with the wider business to support continued growth.

This is a broad and genuinely hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will need to combine strong technical capability with the gravitas and commercial awareness to operate effectively with senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable getting into the detail when required, while also having the ability to step back, understand the bigger picture and help support the strategic direction of the business.

Leading a high-performing finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening processes and controls, and providing the financial insight required to support decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting to the CFO, you'll have overall responsibility for the Group's financial control environment, overseeing the month-end close, statutory reporting, group consolidations and technical accounting matters. You'll ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information across multiple entities and international operations while maintaining strong financial governance and compliance. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll drive improvements to financial processes, reporting and internal controls, while supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.

You'll also take ownership of the year-end audit, tax compliance and preparation of statutory accounts, acting as the key point of contact for external auditors and advisors. You'll play an important role in developing the finance team, improving systems and supporting commercial projects and wider strategic initiatives. The business operates internationally, so previous experience working within a global, multi-entity organisation will be highly advantageous.

You’ll be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with previous experience operating as a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller or Head of Finance within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. You’ll have a strong technical accounting background, including experience of group consolidations, statutory reporting and audit management, but importantly, you’ll also be a hands-on finance leader who is comfortable operating in a growing and entrepreneurial environment.

You’ll bring the gravitas and credibility to work closely with senior leadership, alongside the ability to lead, develop and challenge a finance team. Experience working across an international or global business is highly desirable.

Ideally, you’ll have experience within marketing or advertising, although candidates from related sectors such as media, fashion or other fast-paced creative businesses would also be highly relevant.
