We are partnering with a global, market-leading financial and business management software company in their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a 3-month temporary role based in Central London, offering a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office) and a day rate of up to £405 per day via Umbrella for the right candidate.
The Role:Sitting within the core Finance team, you will take full oversight of month-end close activities and statutory reporting for specific legal entities. You will play a critical, hands-on role in driving the month-end close, managing audit requirements ahead of the mid-September audit kickoff, and supporting the team through quarter-close ending in October.
Key Responsibilities:- Month-End Close:
Manage end-to-end month-end close activities, including calculating and posting complex journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and completing P&L trend analysis. - Audit & Compliance:
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the annual statutory audit, managing queries and preparing US GAAP to Local GAAP statutory bridges. - Reporting & Presentation:
Prepare monthly variance analysis and present quarterly balance sheet fluctuation commentary to senior stakeholders, including the CAO. - Shared Services Partnership:
Work in close partnership with International Shared Services, FP&A, Corporate Tax, and Governance teams to maintain financial integrity. - Statutory & Tax Oversight:
Support transfer pricing processes, statutory financial statement preparation, and local tax return filings (Corporate Tax and Indirect Tax/VAT).
- Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with roughly 2+ years PQE in an in-house environment (Top 10 / Big 4 background preferred). - Technical Accounting:
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS / Local GAAP, with proven hands-on experience in complex month-end close procedures. - Systems Expertise:
Proficiency in Oracle Financials and experience using Black Line for reconciliations and journal entries. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Outgoing, proactive personality with excellent presentation skills and the confidence to integrate with the business, ask key questions, and present numbers to senior executives.
