Outwards Reinsurance Finance Manager

You will own the outwards reinsurance finance process — ceded premium, claims recoveries and reinsurer balances. This is an excellent role for someone aspiring to become Head of Finance, Head of Reinsurance Finance, FD or CFO with excellent visibility from the Deputy CFO.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the financial control and rigour of the outwards reinsurance process — ceded premium, claims recoveries and reinsurer balances
• Review and strengthen reconciliation of reinsurance balances between the ledger, bordereaux and reinsurer statements
• Partner with underwriting, actuarial and the wider finance team to ensure outwards reinsurance treaties and facultative arrangements are accounted for accurately and on time
• Support month-end and reporting cycles with clean, well-controlled reinsurance numbers
• Identify and remediate process and control gaps in the current outwards reinsurance finance workflow

What We're Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2–5 years post-qualification experience
• Solid outwards/ceded reinsurance accounting experience — London Market or Lloyd's background strongly preferred
• A process-improvement mindset — comfortable identifying gaps and building better controls
• Familiarity with London Market reinsurance/bordereaux systems advantageous
