Head of Finance | £70,000–£90,000 FTE | 25–30 Hours Per Week
Looking for a senior finance role that genuinely fits around life?
We're partnering with a well-established international business looking to appoint a qualified Head of Finance to lead its finance function.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a multi-entity finance operation while working 25–30 hours per week
. The role is ideally spread across 5 days (around 5–6 hours per day), making it an excellent option for someone looking for a school-hours role without compromising on seniority or impact.
Salary: £70,000–£90,000 FTE (pro rata for hours worked)
The opportunityReporting directly to the CEO, you'll take responsibility for the financial leadership of the UK business while overseeing US finances and supporting Swiss management reporting. You'll be the trusted finance partner to the leadership team, ensuring the business has accurate reporting, strong controls and commercial insight to support continued growth.
This is a hands‑on role where you'll have the autonomy to make improvements, influence decision‑making and help shape the future of the finance function.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning
- Producing management accounts, financial reporting and forecasts
- Managing cash flow and working capital
- Ensuring all statutory, tax and compliance obligations are met
- Forecasting profitability across multiple events and reporting commercial performance
- Improving finance systems and processes (Business Central experience advantageous)
- Managing commission and bonus calculations
- Reviewing commercial contracts where required
- Leading a small international finance team
We're looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Has experience leading finance within an SME or growing business
- Enjoys being both strategic and hands‑on
- Is commercially minded and confident partnering with senior stakeholders
- Can work independently and take full ownership of the finance function
- Has strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- 25–30 hours per week
- Ideal school‑hours opportunity (around 5–6 hours per day)
- Hybrid working with 2–3 days per week in the office (South West London)
