Financial Controller - High-Growth Scale-Up

Pearse are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth payments scale-up to secure a Financial Controller to join their expanding global finance function. Since raising their Series B investment round with elite investors, the business has rapidly expanded globally, with revenue more than doubling year-on-year.

As a key member of the finance leadership, the Financial Controller will support the coordination of statutory audits across multiple global entities. They will help shape strong financial controls, and support monthly reporting. They will also be involved in streamlining finance processes and building scalable, automated reporting infrastructure. This is a broad role, working closely with various company functions including operations and compliance to ensure the smooth running of financial processes.

• Coordinate and deliver statutory and external audits for their global entities.
• Prepare supporting schedules, working papers, and responses to auditor requests.
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements (IFRS & GAAP), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Month-end and year-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations and related schedules.
• Partnering with the wider finance team on commercial finance and automation projects.
• Support the implementation of systems and tools to optimise financial processes.
• Various ad-hoc projects to support the ongoing growth of the business.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience using Net Suite or similar ERP systems preferred
• Demonstrated experience in financial and regulatory reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders
• Experience with in fintech or financial services is preferred
