Precious Metals & Commodity Trader - Mandarin Speaking

London Trading Centre is an extension of Head Office’s Global Markets Department trading platform that provide clients with greater coverage in foreign exchange, derivatives, commodities and fixed income trading. As a Precious Metals & Commodity Trader - Mandarin Speaking, you will be providing commodity pricing and trading to the Bank and external institutions under the name of Bank of China Head Office.

You will support the precious metals trading business on behalf of the Head Office and Shanghai team when required. This is a full time permanent position.

• Provide pricing and trading commodities/precious metal products to Bank of China’s domestic and overseas branches as well as external institutions
• Liaise with portfolio managers in Head Office and Shanghai team to resolve any issues related to commodity trading
• Manage commodities positions within the Bank’s risk guidelines, while contributing to the growth and profitability of the business
• Maintain client relationships for commodities/precious metal products with Bank of China’s branches, Head Office and Shanghai team and other trading centres within the Group
• Monitor technological, regulatory and other developments to ensure the Bank’s execution process remains highly valued-added, compliant and representative of best industry practices
• Review and complete all relevant documentation such as daily and monthly trade/business reports
• Cover other traders as required

• Degree educated in Finance, Banking, Economics, or other relevant subject
• Demonstrated experience in trading commodities and precious metals products, pricing and quoting corporate and financial institution flows, managing market risk
• Proven experience in managing E-trading platforms as market maker
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant products and risks associated with them
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
• Commercial awareness
