Join us as a Consumer Duty Governance, Reporting and Outcomes Monitoring Senior Manager where your expertise and insight will directly influence how Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) delivers on its Consumer Duty and Vulnerability obligations.

Joining at a pivotal moment, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for providing effective oversight across customer‑related regulatory areas—ensuring that the business meets FCA expectations and consistently delivers good customer outcomes.

This is an especially exciting time to join, with major projects already underway. You will play a key role in helping to evolve Barclays’ approach to customer outcomes governance, monitoring and reporting, driving meaningful change and impact across the business. You will contribute to significant work uplifting Consumer Duty policies, procedures, and frameworks across PBWM, ensuring they remain robust and aligned to evolving FCA expectations.

Alongside this, you will help interpret and implement new FCA guidance, directly shaping how the organisation adapts to regulatory change. This role also offers the opportunity to work across group‑wide regulatory programmes, giving you exposure to the broader Barclays organisation and influence beyond PBWM.

In this hands‑on position, you will lead key regulatory oversight of governance, outcomes monitoring and evidencing, and reporting. You’ll support the Head of Consumer Duty Oversight in rolling out strategic changes, provide expert advice to PBWM business teams, and guide responses to regulatory or risk events with Consumer Duty implications. You will also lead the Consumer Duty and Vulnerability reporting to Executive Committees and Board, oversee training and rollout across the business, and help develop capability within the team and across the PBWM business.

To

be successful as a Consumer Duty Governance, Reporting and Outcomes Monitoring Senior Manager, you should have experience of:
  • Excellence working in a regulatory oversight or reporting role.
  • Excellent understanding of Consumer Duty and Vulnerable Customer regulatory requirements.
  • A good understanding of UK financial services regulation more broadly.
Highly valued skills for this role include:
  • Developing outcomes-based management information and reporting in a regulatory context.
  • Leading, overseeing, and delivering Executive and Board-level regulatory reporting and governance within financial services firms.
  • Delivering and overseeing activities to deliver good customer outcomes and prevent or remediate risk events.
  • Collaborating across 1/2/3 lines of defence teams and across large corporate organisations

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job‑specific technical skills.

This role is based in either London or Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To provide data‑led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.

Accountabilities
  • Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to.
  • Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Anti‑Competitive Conduct.
  • Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the bank’s internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements.
